Diners can take a seat inside the spacious light-filled interior, decked out in neutral tones or on the wraparound terrace outside, with views of the Story Bridge in the distance.

Like the decor, the menu is understated yet with premium quality offerings. Start with Spuntino (snacks) such as white anchovies with crispy Sardinian bread, natural oysters with tarragon mignonette or Sicilian olives, orange and thyme, all of which go down a treat with an Aperol Spritz or other Italian-flavoured cocktails such as the Frosecco (Prosecco slushie), Lemon thyme margarita or a Garibaldi (campari served long and fluffy with fresh grapefruit or orange juice).

Antipasti (small plates to share) are divine and include calamari, lemon and aioli; Burrata and summer squash; Bufalo mozzarella, heirloom tomatoes and pesto (pictured above); Scallop crudo, citrus & dill (pictured below); veal & pork meatbllas, rocket and parmesan; and pumpkin arancini and pepitas.

For Primi (pasta) choices include pork and beef ragu pappardelle; kale, mushroom & walnut gnocchi or Tiger prawn and Fraser Island Crab Linguine (pictured below), while Secondi (mains) include roast porchetta, rocket & apple; bistecca alla Fiorentina, charred onion and horse radish or Fresh Fish of the Day.

There's also a selection of Insalate and sides such as gem lettuce, Calabrian chilli breadcrumb; rosemary and parmesan fries or broccolini, chilli, garlic, roasted almond and evoo.

The carefully curated wine list features a selection of boutique Australian and Italian wines with a smattering of French wines and champagne and for beer drinkers, there's Peroni and a couple of local craft beers on tap, and, by the bottle, Birra Moreti, Peroni Legerra and red and Australian craft beers and cider.
