Christmas Lights are back on at Queensland's Government House with a spectacular display that is open to the public nightly from 6.45-8.15pm on December 9-14, 2023.

Christmas Lights Government House

The landmark historic house and gardens of the Fernberg Estate will be once again lit up in a magical light show that has become a must-see for Brisbane families at Christmas time.

Christmas Lights Government House

This year’s display will follow a new theme and look slightly different than years before, so if you haven't been in awhile, there's good reason to visit again and enjoy a dazzling night out.

Visitors are also welcome inside Government House to have a photo alongside the grandly decorated Christmas Tree.

Good to know - Fernberg has been the official residence of the Governor of Queensland since 1910. Each year, thousands pour through the gates to enjoy the bright and colourful Government House Christmas Lights display, which is widely regarded as one of Brisbane’s best.

Need to know – Entry is free via the Service Gate at 168 Fernberg Road, Paddington (pedestrian access only, there is no onsite parking). There is no need to pre-book or register, just turn up and enjoy. No pets allowed (assistance dogs excepted).
