Homewares and Bric-a-Brac
BCC Treasure Troves
Buy nothing new month is nearing an end, so why not make the most of Council’s Treasure Troves and buy second-hand? The Treasure Troves have an assortment of pre-loved items for sale and will be featuring homewares and bric-a-brac on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 October at the Geebung and Acacia Ridge stores.
You can find a range of unique treasures, including books and music, sporting equipment and furniture - there’s something for everyone.
Everything for sale at the Treasure Troves has been donated at Brisbane City Council’s resource recovery centres, ensuring the items get a second chance at life rather than ending up in landfill.
If you’re interested in donating your pre-loved items to Council's Treasure Troves, visit one of Council's resource recovery centres. Donations are accepted 365 days a year, with items sorted for quality at Council’s recovery centres by staff, before making their way to the Treasure Troves.
Council’s Treasure Troves are operated by the Endeavour Foundation, who provide opportunities to people living with a disability. By choosing to buy second-hand, you’re saving money and helping to support a great charity while keeping Brisbane clean and green.
