GERTIES BAR CLOSED IN FEBRUARY 2026.

A stalwart on the New Farm bar scene, this rustic art deco cocktail bar and kitchen behind the chrome and oak doors is the spot for a cosy tete a tete, quick stand-up tipple or anthropological study from the window seats.

The staff know how to mix a cocktail – sparkling, martini or straight, the chef makes a mean tapas quaintly served on a cake stand and the décor – smoky mirrors, mosaic tiled floors is faded Parisian salon. Add a chilled crowd and you have the perfect spot for a civilised drink.
