London Fields

West End

LONDON FIELDS HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED TO BE REPLACED BY EHDEN BAR & KITCHEN IN LATE 2019.

London Fields is a cool white English-style gastropub tucked away in a revamped retro building in an off-the-beaten track corner of West End.

In classic British style London Fields is the kind of place to drop in any time of day for a delicious bite to eat from a chef-prepared ‘nose to tail’ menu and a relaxing casual drink.

London Fields West End

On weekends contemporary English-inspired breakfast is served in its high-ceilinged industrial chic bar dining room and courtyard. On the menu are granola, rhubarb and yoghurt, black pudding, with smoked tomato, fried egg and sourdough, braised beans with speck, sourdough and poached egg or baked trout with lemon kale and avocado.

Diners in London Fields West End's courtyard

While the bar is open from 10.30 daily, lunch kicks in at 11.30 (and is served all day Sunday) and dinner at 5.30. Along with pub favs like wagyu burgers, beer-battered chips and pork belly, there’s more shades of Ol’Blighty throughout the lunch/dinner menu.

Pork ribs with lemon on a plate

For starters there’s delectable Small Plates and Entrees like Oysters, Shallot and Sherry Vinegar, Smoked Mackerel, Mustard and Pickle Onions or Clams, Parsley, Bduja and Crisp Bread.

Patrons siting inside London Fields

Meats and Mains include Scotch Fillet, Roast Garlic and Jus Gras, Organic Chicken Breast with turnips, barley and sorrel or Sweetbreads, peas and broad beans. And perfect for sharing is the hearty Lamb Shoulder with oregano.

To accompany there’s a raft of tasty sides straight out of an English country garden – think Leek, Curd and Ash; Asparagus, watercress and gribiche; Potato, onion and parsley; and Grilled cucumber, radicchio and sour onions.

And with offerings like Eton Mess on the dessert list, it’s worth leaving room for.
