Palace Supper Club

Fortitude Valley

The Palace Supper Club has now closed, but will be relaunching mid-November 2018 under a new name. Stay tuned!

Palace Supper Club is a ritzy and sophisticated restaurant, bar and late night supper club bringing a touch a class and glamour to Fortitude Valley.

Residing in a former yum cha joint in Chinatown, the building has been restored to its former glory - think pressed metal ceilings - and no expense has been spared. Furniture, lighting, tableware and glassware have been created exclusively for the venue including a stunning chandelier imported from Portugal.

Patrons can dine inside the swish restaurant at plush private booths, al fresco on the verandah overlooking Chinatown Mall or in the slightly less formal but still luxe lounge bar.

The menu is modern Australian with a focus on fresh ingredients and impeccable presentation.  Start with handpicked oysters, caviar served with little toast and crème fraiche, calamari, quail or fresh fig salad with buffalo milk mozzarella, fig balsamic, basil and crusty bread.

Main meals include Cape Grim eye fillet, wagyu ragu, pork belly, spatchcock and barbecued king prawns served with cashew nut lemon salad and french fries. Alternatively, there are share plates of whole fried fish, rock lobster mornay and rack of lamb.
Late night bar bites range from Queen green olives and truffle fries to wagyu beef puffs and spanner crab croquettes.

Decadent desserts include triple chocolate pudding, vanilla crème brulee and the highly recommended Hennessy Cognac chocolate truffle with pineapple, mango and lavender marshmallow. Or finish with a dessert cocktail like an espresso martini or Grasshopper – white chocolate, mint, brandy, cream and branca menta.

The impressive cocktail list includes seasonal tipples (such as Midnight Mimosa, Palace Colada and Chinatown Hold Up – rhubarb vodka, pineapple, citrus, yuzu, peach and coconut) as well as timeless classics: aperol spritz, manhattan and mai tai.

There’s beer on tap, bottled beer, an extensive wine list (including top-shelf French champagne) and luxury spirits like Beluga Gold Line vodka, Pappy Van Winkle’s Family Reserve 15 year old bourbon and  Macallan 1824 Collection single malt original release Scotch whisky.
