LuvaBerry is family farm in the Moreton Bay region near Caboolture that opens to the public for strawberry picking from July to October, plus provides complimentary farm tours, morning yoga with breakfast, and Panda's Playtime for the kids.
The family farm has been running for almost 20 years, growing everything from native finger limes and herbs to strawberries, but unlike other strawberry farms, LuvaBerry offers an exclusive pick your own called Peckish Picking with visitors allowed to eat as many juicy berries as they like, plucking them from the plants in the field.
Entry to Peckish Picking is $15 for adults, $10 for children (aged 5-12 years’ old) and $5 for ages 3-5 years. This includes a 500g eco box to fill up and take home.
As well as strawberry picking, LuvaBerry offers complimentary farm tours where visitors can learn about the farm's history as a tobacco farm, explore the herbs it grows and stroll through the finger lime orchard. Tours take place every Saturday and Sunday at 11:30am and 2:30pm.
Plus, there's Panda's Playtime (named after the farm's dog Panda), an hour of organised fun for children. Every Saturday from 11am-12pm, kids can join Panda and a Luvaberry team member to explore the farm, get some fresh air, play some games, go on a treasure hunt and pick some berries. Panda's Playtime is open to kids from 7 to 12 years old and its FREE!
In addition, there's Sunday morning yoga with breakfast, and the newly launched Luvaberry Supper Club - a series of dinners with themes from art and dining to bush food.
No visit to the farm would be complete without stopping by the Farmgate Stall. Tea and coffee is available for a gold coin donation, plus your can purchase ice-cream and a selection of local products such as Stone & Lea jams and honey from Busy Bees made using the farm's berries.
Nice to know - LuvaBerry is big on the environment. Any less-than-perfect berries that would be tossed, are freeze-dried and turned into a delicious, healthy snack, available in crunch and dust form.
