Louie's Coffee & Bodega

Victoria Point

Louie's Coffee & Bodega at Victoria Point is a unique concept - a little food mart with in-house cafe where you can sample the fare on the shelves before you purchase it, while also enjoying a well-brewed coffee.

The creation of one of the original owners of popular southside cafe Little Clive, here at Louie's you'll also find carefully sourced local and international products not found at supermarkets, including some you may even not have heard of.

Regardless of whether you're in line for some food shopping, Louie's is a great spot to enjoy a tasty and unique bite to eat. House specialities are Louie's Special Sandwiches (big deli sandwiches) including the Reuben (corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, pickles and Russian dressing) or the Muffuletta (an Italian feast in a sandwich, with prosciutto, mortadella, coppa, sopressa, provolone, mozzarella and olive salad).

Otherwise the Paninis are a real treat, with a variety of fillings on offer. Try the chicken (cold smoked chicken, Swiss cheese, semi-dried tomato, roquette and house-made vinaigrette), the Sobradasa (Australian made spreadable chorizo, Aragula, eggplant and fresh mozzarella) or the Truffle and Cheese (ham off the bone, provolone and black truffle sauce). There's also the option of Vegetarian (medley of roasted veges, roquette and Swiss cheese).

If you're after something lighter, try one of the fresh salads, which are made daily in-house using top quality produce from Fussy Fruit. Louie's source most of their cured meats from Salumi Australia, along with a handful of items from Borgo’s Smallgoods and Puopolo. Meanwhile their paninis are by Brasserie Bread, milk is from Norco and the in-house coffee is Vivo.

Best of all, if you like what's on the menu you can buy all of the ingredients in-house and make them at home. There's also a range of delicious baked cakes, biscuits (try the cookie stack for one!) and other sweets available, all which are all made on site by The Bake List (who share the space with Louie's).
