Welcome To Bowen Hills

Bowen Hills

Welcome to Bowen Hills is a food truck hub and 1000 person beer garden, located in the heart of Bowen Hills, within the Ekka’s dairy hall and sugar building.

Welcome to Bowen Hills

The epic venue has a huge shaded al fresco dining area, decked out with relaxed seating options and bar seating. There’s lush greenery, hanging planters and illuminated signs down the length of the venue.

Step inside for another dining area of relaxed booths, communal tables and even large lawn games. It’s the ultimate weekend hangout which is the first to come of Brisbane’s Showgrounds revamp.

The classic Ekka Milk Bar will be bringing back the fairground favourites, such as strawberry sundaes and root-beer floats.

The long, extravagant bar is serving all sorts of spirits, cocktails, beer and wine. There’s a secret gin bar in the midst, tiki cocktails and plenty on tap for diners to enjoy (68 to be exact).

The food trucks will rotate daily, with plenty of tasty eats from all over the world for diners to try.

Check out Bruce the Food Truck whilst he’s in town, for a cheeky yet delicious cronut covered with all the toppings.

Need to know – There is onsite paid parking.

Nice to know – Welcome to Bowen Hills originates from Melbourne’s Welcome to Thornbury. There will be foodie events happening monthly, such as hot sauce and chilli festival and trivia nights.
