ALFRED'S TENNYSON HAS CLOSED AND BEEN REPLACED BY RIVER LA VIE.

Alfred’s Tennyson is a hidden treasure, overlooking the Brisbane River at Tennyson (opposite the Queensland Tennis Centre).

Here, customers can enjoy top-notch coffee by Belaroma and all day breakfast in a serene, al fresco style setting. 

The concise but well thought out seasonal menu includes breakfast favourites like organic muesli with fresh fruit, smashed avocado on sourdough with soft poached eggs, feta cheese, sumac salt and toasted sesame, and eggs benedict (with your choice of ham, crispy bacon, smoked salmon or portobello mushroom) on English muffin with baby spinach, poached egg and house made hollandaise sauce.  

For something sweet, there’s cinnamon infused French toast served with crispy bacon, caramelised banana and Canadian maple syrup and for something spicy – Thai omelette made with free range eggs, coriander, chilli, garlic, red onion, shallots and basil.  

Alfred’s is licensed with a carefully curated Australian wine list and local craft beer. A lunch menu, to pair with the wine and beer on hand, is being finalised. Until then, patrons can enjoy a tipple on the undercover patio with gentle breezes rolling off the river.
