The Oxford Garden
The Oxford Garden is a gorgeous, green, leafy oasis on Oxford Street in Bulimba, open daily* for lunch, dinner and drinks.
This stunning eatery and bar, formerly Barcadia, has been given a fresh lick of paint (an azure blue to be precise) and a glamorous makeover.
Patrons can wine and dine in style on the beautiful deck adorned with hanging baskets, inside by the bar or at spacious booths with bench seating.
Starters range from beetroot aranci with whipped goats curd, and bugtail baos with green papaya and coconut slaw, to chicken parmy spring rolls filled with crispy chicken, mozzarella and honey baked ham served with Napoli dipping sauce.
Mouth-watering mains include large plates of chicken parmigiana, OFC - Oxford fried chicken, beer battered fish and chips, wagyu rump, and housemade gnocchi.
Top-notch burgers round out the menu: prime beef cheeseburgers with miso caramelised onions, soft cheese, kewpie mayo and pickles on seeded bun, or shrimp po boy sliders with spicy mayo on soft brioche roll.
Otherwise, there are salads such as wild rocket and parmesan, roasted sweet potato and Vietnamese salad with crunchy noodles, fresh veggies and nuoc cham dressing.
For dessert there’s the irresistible bittersweet chocolate tart, ultimate banana split or trio of gelato by Brisbane’s own La Macelleria.
The bar is well-stocked with craft beer on tap, bottled beer, wine, champagne, and a comprehensive cocktail list including but not limited to Aperol Spritz, Espresso-yourself Martinis, and the Oxford Pash (Eristoff vodka, aperol, lime, pineapple juice and passionfruit).
Nice to know – The Oxford Garden is child-friendly with a kids menu consisting of spaghetti with Napoli sauce, chicken nuggets or steak served with chips.
