Ramen On Grey
South Bank
RAMEN ON GREY HAS CLOSED.
Ramen on Grey sits next to sibling Suki Sushi Burrito & Poke Bowls on South Bank’s Grey St, luring diners in for steaming bowls of ramen and sides of delicious street eats.
Take a seat in one of the cosy booths or on the outdoor stools and watch the world go by, otherwise all of the dishes are available for takeaway.
On the menu is a range of Pork Ramen, from the basic Shio (salt-flavoured soup topped with pork slices, bamboo shoot and marinated egg or Shoyu (same but with soy replacing the salt flavouring) to Spicy (with spicy pork mince, marinated egg and kimchi) and Miso to Tsukemen (noodles topped with marinated egg, steamed veges and bamboo shoots, with soup served in separate bowl).
Chicken Ramen also comes as Shio, Shoyu or Miso, along with Umakara Shoyu (hot and spice flavoured soup with poached chicken, kimchi and steamed veges).
Otherwsie there’s one option of Vegetable Ramen (Konbu dashi broth with tofu, steamed veges and marinated egg).
Sides, which are good to share, include Pork Belly Kakuni (slow-cooked pork belly), Chicken Karaage, Pork or Vegetable Gyoza, Tabasaki Wings (fried chicken in spicy sauce), Agedashi Tofu, Edamame or Kimchi (made in-house).
To drink, there’s a small range of beers and cider at the bar or from the fridge.
