The Brat Cave

Woolloongabba

THE BRAT CAVE HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED.

The Brat Cave is an uber-cool warehouse in Woolloongabba and home of Brat Haus, where patrons can enjoy Brisbane’s best German sausages, drink beer and take a yoga class.

The Brat Cave is the brainchild of father and son team, Steve and Ben Crick, who have two Brat Haus locations already (Fortitude Valley and Petrie Terrace). This grotto in the Gabba is furnished with retro chairs, lounges and tall tables with natural lighting highlighting the colourful wall mural.

The Brat Cave

Open six days a week, customers can kick back with a beer (there’s six beers on tap) and bratwurst - spicy, mild, cheese, chicken and firewurst - on a freshly baked bread roll generously topped with sauerkraut and fried onions. Or try one of their pretzels (plain, cheese or cheese and garlic).

The Brat Cave

If you can’t get enough of their bratwurst, knackwurst and kranskis, you can pick up a Brat Pack to take home and barbecue, as well as all the fixings from German mustard and ketchup to sauerkraut.

The Brat Cave

And in a first for Brisbane, the Brat Cave brings Beer Yoga. Every Monday night, yogis can stretch and sip, guided by a talented yoga instructor and hydrated with beer – a truly enlightening experience. Classes cost $10 for 1 hour including beer and must be booked on-line.  Space is limited.

The Brat Cave

Need to know - Yoga classes resume Feb 6.
