Blackstar Coffee Roastery

Ethics and excellent coffee converge at this scruffy little sidestreet cafe. From a converted garage the eco conscious owners of BlackStar operate a roastery out back and a café out front under an awning and a handful of umbrellas.

Pull up a careworn couch or battered metal chair and partake in one of the area’s best coffees and as a bonus on Saturday evenings, listen to a local muso do their stuff.

For the hungry there’s a small range of eats available – fresh greek spanakopita by the slice, sour dough filled rolls, croissants, Rocky Road or mud cupcakes.

Canines are more than welcome to be a part of things too.
