THE FOXY BEAN & DROP HAS CLOSED IN 2019.

A feather's throw from the Woolloongabba's Logan Rd Antique Quarter and the Gabba Cricket Ground one of Brisbane's most gorgeous cafes, Foxy Bean resides in a cluster of quaint Federation era shops.

Since its start as the tiny converted shop on a corner Foxy has grown up and expanded into a trio of stunning stencil art and pastel VJ walled rooms with original dark timber fretwork trimmings. The main room features a pressed metal bar watched over by a taxidermy fox, baskets of hanging ferns, a worn leather chesterfield and a scattering of leather armchairs, and a couple of woven leather bay window seats. To one side a dining annexe has a live green wall of vines and out back is a sunny courtyard.

The breakfast menu includes longtime faves like the Bushman's Benedict (savoury mince topped with eggs benedict and hollandaise sauce served on sour dough), and creative dishes like Banana Scallops, along with Buttermilk Hotcakes, Sweetcorn & Pea Fritters, Veggie Wraps and The Big Brekkie.

To accompany there's well-brewed coffee and breakfast cocktails like Espresso martini, Bloody Mary and Mimosa (available after 10am).

The lunch menu includes the likes of Philly Cheese Steak, Chinese Chicken Salad, Arancini or Salt and Pepper Calamari.

Alter ego The Foxy Drop takes over at sundown from mid-week to the weekend, with a delish menu of bites and dishes to share, cocktails and quality beer, wine and spirits on tap.
