Sweet As Brew

Beenleigh

SWEET AS BREW PERMANENTLY CLOSED IN DECEMBER 2022.

Sweet As Brew in the heart of Beenleigh is a cute cafe dishing up delicious chocolaty treats for breakfast, lunch and dessert.

Formerly known as the Belgian Chocolate Saloon, this sweet cafe boasts a new name and a new location just a few doors down on City Road. Inside, the walls are adorned with eclectic art from Gustav Klimt's The Kiss to pop art - The Beatles, Bob Marley and Miley Cyrus - with mismatched tables and chairs filling the airy space.

Customers can have their cake and eat it too for breakfast with home made waffle bowls filled with warm triple chocolate brownies, fresh strawberries and vanilla ice cream, topped with cream, crushed nuts and drizzled with chocolate sauce. Or how about a Nutella pancake stack topped with strawberries, banana, ice cream and cream, or crepes stuffed with caramelized banana served with cream and ice cream?

If you can't decide, there's a dessert platter piled with slices, waffles, crepes, ice cream, cream and fruit served with chocolate fondue, which feeds 2 to 3 people.

In addition, customers can enjoy a well-brewed cup of coffee with a home made slice like feijoa and bounty, pineapple lump or white chocolate rolo cheesecake slice. There's also a range of vegan, gluten-free, sugar-free, guilt-free treats on hand.

For fans of savoury fare, there's classic breakfast dishes such as smashed avo on sourdough, bacon and eggs on toast, and eggs benedict with poached eggs, spinach and hollandaise sauce; while lunch options include juicy beef burgers and open grill sandwiches, from classic ham, cheese and tomato to turkey with camembert and cranberries.

Besides coffee, there's hot chocolate, tea, smoothies and milkshakes in a myriad of flavours - chocolate, strawberry, banana, caramel and lime to name a few.
