Roe Cafe & Italian Kitchen

Roe Cafe and Italian Kitchen is a charming cafe in Marsden, dishing up delicious breakfast and lunch fare with an Italian twist.

Tucked away at Marsden on Fifth Avenue, this gem provides dining inside with timber tables and chairs filling a cosy space which features a stunning Tuscan tiled counter, and al fresco in a large undercover courtyard.

The menu boasts an abundance of breakfast fare from smashed avo on toast to mushroom bruschetta (toasted ciabatta topped with garlic mushrooms and Greek feta), and eggs benedict with bacon or ham, two poached eggs and house made hollandaise.

Otherwise, there's zucchini and parmesan corn fritters served on a bed of rocket with tomato bruschetta and a sprinkle of feta, and fluffy pancakes served with strawberries, banana, vanilla ice-cream and maple syrup.

An all-day lunch menu includes classic bruschetta (ciabatta topped with diced tomato, red onion, garlic, basil and extra virgin olive oil), gourmet sangas, fresh salads, and juicy burgers like the Italiano with homemade Italian sausage pattie, grilled eggplant, provolone cheese, rocket and pesto on a brioche bun.

Alternatively, there's potato gnocchi served with your choice of house-made bolognese sauce, napoletana sauce, or creamy white wine, garlic, and mushroom sauce with chicken. 

The cafe is kid-friendly with a children's menu consisting of bacon and eggs, pancakes with ice-cream and chocolate topping, chicken nuggets and chips, and gnocchi napoli. 

Coffee on pour is an Italian-style espresso by Segafredo, and is the perfect accompaniment to the home-made treats on offer such as ricotta cannoli, Portuguese tarts, and traditional apricot crostata (pie) served with a generous dollop of fresh cream. 

Besides coffee, there are loose-leaf teas, milkshakes, smoothies, frappes, juices, soft drinks, and San Pellegrino sparkling water.
