TAMM HA TAMM HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED IN 2020.
Tamm Ha Tamm is a French café and creperie nestled on Old Cleveland Road in the heart of Carina, dishing up authentic organic French food for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
This petite café with the unusual moniker is named after the owners' boat. After sailing the high seas, Chrissy and Francois settled in Brisbane and, after a successful stint at the markets, have opened a bricks and mortar business.
Inside, the café is nautically-inspired with rope-trimmed tables and ship's propeller. There are additional tables on the footpath.
Specialising in traditional lace crepes and Breton buckwheat gazettes (pancakes), sweet tooths can choose from a selection of crepes such as The French (raw sugar and lemon juice), The Season (fresh strawberries and mixed berry sauce), The Chrissy (salted butter caramel, roasted almond and whipped cream) and The Gourmet (melted dark chocolate, banana and shredded coconut).
Savoury lovers can opt for organic, gluten-free, buckwheat gazettes with tasty fillings like The Complete (ham, gruyere and egg), The Montagnarde (goat cheese, walnuts and honey) and The Brettone (pork sausage, old-style mustard and caramelised onions) served with salad.
Besides crepes and galettes, there are organic omelettes with your choice of 2, 3 or 4 fillings: sausage, ham, cheese, caramelised onion, garlic butter, mushrooms and/or spinach. There's also a selection of freshly baked baguettes, butter croissants and mini macarons on hand. Drink wise, there's organic coffee, fruit smoothies, juices and soft drinks.
Nice to know - Tamm Ha Tamm is part-providore with wooden shelves lined with little jars of Chrissy's handmade lemon curd, salted butter caramel and candied onions; which sit alongside imported French treats like liver pate, nougat and camembert.
Need to know - Tamm Ta Hamm also does a vegan French breakfast.
