Sage On Ann
Brisbane
It may be out of the shopping hub but Sage on Ann is a classy little cafe worth crossing King George Square for.
With an imaginative menu that touts poached eggs rolled in dukkah and avocado salsa for breakfast or wraps of peking duck with shallots, chilli plum cos and mayo for lunch this place distinguishes itself from most city venues.
Yet traditionalists needn’t fear – there are also plenty of classic café dishes such as pies, rib fillet or ham Dijon and tomato sandwiches and soup of the day. And the coffee to accompany all of the above is Di Bella.
In the value stakes it’s also hard to beat with no dish over fifteen dollars and the majority coming in at under ten.
