Tide on the Jetty

Manly

Tide on the Jetty is a cafe and wine bar perched in prime position overlooking Manly Harbour on William Gunn Jetty.

With water views from all of the seating and sea breezes wafting fresh, salty air through the open bi-fold windows, Tide holds an unbeatable, laid-back location to enjoy a glass of wine and tapas at the end of the day, or to start the day with breakfast and coffee.

The mouth-watering menu boasts delicious breakfast fare ranging from house-made granola with natural yoghurt and seasonal fruit, to strawberry meringue waffles and Ora King salmon bruschetta - smoked salmon with citrus-infused whipped cheese, house-made salted red onions, capers and fresh herbs on single origin sourdough.

After 11.30am, diners can take their pick of juicy burgers, wholesome salads and more. There's the wagyu beef burger, grilled fish burger, finger-lickin' southern fried chicken burger, warm chicken salad with bacon and crunchy potatoes, or the roast cauliflower salad with quinoa.

Locally-sourced fish and chips are very popular, or for something light there’s a long list of tapas and snacks to choose from, including sticky maple glazed chicken wings, lamb koftas, pan-flashed squid with chorizo, Moreton Bay rock oysters, karaage chicken, and arancini, filled with delicious savoury flavours like pumpkin, spinach and parmesan.

Larger plates ideal for group sharing include creamy mussels with locally-smoked pork in bacon and cider cream sauce, Byron Bay pork shoulder with flat bread and yoghurt dressing, and mixed platters piled with salt and pepper squid, haloumi cigars, fries, wings and more. A selection of artisan cheeses and cured meats is also available.

Delectable desserts on offer range from a warm, triple chocolate brownie with marshmallows, strawberries, dark chocolate dip and ice-cream, to baked raspberry cheesecake with berries and coulis, and old-fashioned apple crumble with sticky date pudding bites, salted caramel dip and ice-cream.

In addition, there's warm scones served with jam and cream, and an assortment of scrumptious cakes and slices to enjoy with a well-brewed cup of coffee or tea.

Tide Wine Bar, Manly

Drinks-wise, Tide has two Alehouse brews on tap plus an apple cider, served along with bottled local beer (Stone and Wood,  XXXX) and international beer such as Corona, Heineken, Asahi, and Peroni.

There's a carefully-curated wine list (available by the glass or bottle), spirits, and classic cocktails: think Aperol Spritz, Espresso Martini, Mojito and more.

And, for something non-alcoholic, as well as tea and coffee, there’s hot chocolate, chai lattes, milkshakes, smoothies, cold pressed juices, Cascade soft drinks, and house-made lemon, lime and bitters.

Need to know - There is free parking available in the William Gunn Jetty car park behind the Manly Pool.

The menu may have changed since our visit.
