C'est Bon Wine Bar
The gorgeous rustic space, which for decades was home to European butcher Heinz Meats, features exposed handmade brick walls, pendant lighting and a stunning timber bar above which hangs the remains of the original staircase.
Charming French owner Celine greets customers like longtime friends, and is more than happy to share the love and knowledge of her country’s food and wine.
C’est Bon’s expansive wine list takes customers on a journey through the wine regions of France, including Burgundy, Bourgogne, Cotes de Rhone, Provence, Alsace and Bordeaux, with a decent range of wines by the glass or bottle and champagnes by the glass, half bottle, bottle or magnum.
To accompany there’s a delectable bar menu including a highly recommended cheese and charcuterie platter (with fresh-baked baguette) that goes down a treat with a glass or two of champagne.
Other offerings hail from the C’est Bon bistro menu such as pate de canard (duck pate), escargots de Bourgogne, foie gras, soupe de jour, fresh baked French baguette with whipped salted butter, chutney and onion, and a C’est Bon Favourites platter with a taste of everything good.
As well as the French wine, there’s 3 beers on tap (including French-style saison Pitchfork), cans of beer by Brisbane’s own Aether Brewing and boutique spirits.
French Apperitifs include Kir, Dolin, Vermouth, Dubonnet, Ricard and Pastis while for afters there’s Cognac, Calvados, Armagnac and Eaux de Vie (fruit brandy).
For cocktail drinkers there’s a choice of classic such as Margharita, Cosmopolitan, Spritz, Mojito and French Martini and Mocktails include Virgin Colada and C’est Bon Small Island Tea.
Nice to know – C’est Bon Wine Bar makes a great spot for an evening of grazing and drinking or a pre-or-post dining drink at C’est Bon bistro.
