Jessie’s Girl is a charming boutique bar occupying an historic Petrie Terrace shop on the corner of Jessie St.
From the same canny gals who own popular café Scout up the road, Jessie’s Girl is a bright convivial place to stop for a beer, wine, cocktail and delicious bar dishes.
Casement windows, original timber floors and Euro café style seating add a touch of the old while a slick bar with thoroughly modern menu takes centrepiece in the open plan room and banquettes line the walls.
Luscious Italian-inspired cocktails on offer include The Britz (red Okar prosecco and orange), The Ritz (limoncello, gin, prosecco and raspberry), The Titz (lillet blanc, Mosato, thyme and lime), The Shitz (apricot, Prosecco, olive), Espresso Martini and the Carrotini (carrot, celery, orange and ginger juice & gin).
A small range of beers hail from craft brewers Young Henrys, Stone & Wood and Rogers and a curated list of boutique wines include Australian varietals, French Cote de Rhone, rose (Provence) and champagne (Laurent Perrier).
Not just a great place for a tipple, Jessie’s Girl has a cracking food menu, with the likes of French onion croquette, Steak Tartare, Charred brussels with garlic butter and breadcrumbs, pork belly rillettes or mushroom, thyme, garlic and Iberico toastie, cheese or charcuterie plates, and, for something sweet, poached pears in sherry, with oat crumbs and double cream.
Nice to know - Sometime in September Jessie's Girl will be offering Boozy Brunches on weekends.
