Bacchus Brewing brews some of Brisbane’s best boutique beers, available by the bottle or on tap at their bayside brewery bar and cellar door.
Tucked away in an industrial estate in Capalaba, the warehouse space is filled with beer tanks on one side and tables crafted from former bowling alley lanes - with bowling pins for lamps – on the other. Open daily, patrons can enjoy a quiet tipple during the week or get together with friends on the weekend.
There are fifteen draught beers and cider on tap including genuine British ales on hand pump and from the cask. Try old faves - Bayside Pale, Qld Ale or The Kraken, a rum-infused American style IPA - and new brews like Czech Pilsner, American Pie and Experimental Grapefruit IPA. Taps change constantly with the brewers always experimenting.
Food is BYO Monday to Thursday, while food trucks visit on weekends and the brewery’s brand new kitchen dishes up piping-hot pizzas from Friday to Sunday. Available until one hour before close, pizzas range from Margarita and Pepperoni to 3 Cheese (smoked cheddar, blue cheese and buffalo mozzarella drizzled with a Bacchus smoked malt reduction) and the spicy Inferno Salami with hot salami, olives, basil and buffalo mozzarella.
Bacchus Brewing is family-friendly with picnic tables out front and plenty of board games to keep the kids entertained. A mezzanine overlooking the brewery is equipped with pool table while a big screen TV is available for your viewing pleasure.
