HONEY AND BEAR AT BOWEN HILLS HAS CLOSED.
Honey and Bear is a super cute, dog-friendly café in Bowen Hills serving excellent espresso, all-day breakfast and burgers.
Customers can take-away from the pocket-sized coffee shop or dine-in with plenty of seating provided in a spacious, airy shed with hanging greenery and shutters which open to let the light stream in.
The menu is short and sweet with breakfast dishes ranging from crunchy granola served with seasonal fruit, honey panna cotta and berry compote, to broad beans and avocado on sourdough with heirloom tomatoes, mint salsa verde and grilled asparagus, and DIY breakfast tacos with scrambled eggs, chargrilled corn salsa, avocado and pickled chillies.
Lunch, available from 11am, includes panko crumbed salt and pepper squid, salami and 3 cheese jaffles, and top-notch burgers – Asian fried chicken, pulled barbecue pork and slaw and vegan lentil burger.
Coffee on pour is Single O. Otherwise, there are pots of tea, fresh juices, banana and honey smoothies and red velvet shakes.
