Circa, one of the world's leading performance companies, is launching Term 2 of Circa Academy, offering exceptional programs at both Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Art and Brisbane Powerhouse.

By asking “what is possible in circus?” Circa has created a suite of award-winning productions seen by over 1.5 million people across 42 countries. Circa brings this curiosity, expertise and daredevilry to Circa Academy – making circus experiences available to everyone.

During Term 2, Circa Academy will offer five Aerial Nights each week for adults, with courses from beginner to advanced across silks, trapeze, straps and lyra. Also launching this term is a five-week Aerial Foundations program for individuals brand new to the world of aerials to build strength, technique, body awareness and a whole lot of fun.

Weekends will see Youth Circus allowing young participants of all skill levels to discover their superpowers, while for those aged 18 months to 4 years, Storytime brings together storytelling and circus adventure with creative physical play. 

Circa Academy’s flagship program is Performance, an elite stream dedicated to excellence in-circus training, creation and performance. Forming ensembles that create and present live works across Brisbane and beyond, the Performance participants will experience circus festivals, training projects and collaborations.
