Sweet Charity, the much-loved musical comedy is coming to the Brisbane Powerhouse from January 24 to February 10, 2019.
This Broadway classic, set in 1966 at the Fandango Ballroom, follows the misadventures of New York City dance hall hostess Charity Hope Valentine. After a series of misfortunes in life and love, Sweet Charity decides to seek ’Something Better Than This’.
One of the great musicals of the 60s, Sweet Charity is bursting with Broadway hits like ‘Big Spender' and ‘The Rhythm of Life’, that will have you dancing all night long.
The stellar cast includes Queensland’s first lady of song, Naomi Price (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Rumour Has It), Andy Cook (Priscilla Queen of the Desert: The Musical), Hayley Winch (A Boy from Oz) and Lizzie Moore (Patsy Cline in Coal Miner’s Daughter).
