Summer of Fun
West Village
Celebrate the opening of West Village’s new public parkland, The Common, with a host of free, fun summertime activities for kids and grown-ups.
Set against the historic backdrop of iconic Peters Ice Cream Factory, The Common is a shared green space with lush gardens, secret nooks and quirky statues.
De-stress this festive season with free pilates offered on Mondays at 6am and free yoga on Wednesdays at 6pm or unwind with friends on the weekend with live music and delicious eats from The Garden Pantry.
Throughout December and January, kids can enjoy a range of free, fun activities on weekends from face painting and giant lawn games to cooling off with water jets. Until December 21, kids can get crafty every day from 9am at The Common’s free art studio for children. Creative Kids will hold unique, engaging workshops on fluoro dream catchers, clay gingerbread houses and more.
On Monday to Thursday, from 4-6pm, Twilight Kids will have the chance to make bubbles and slime or take part in silent disco yoga.
Eco Kids in conjunction with CitySmart will host free, weekly workshops from 9-10am including herb seedling plantings, grass head planters, daisy flower crowns and hands-on experiences with bees and chickens.
Need to know – Registrations for Twilight Kids and Eco Kids are essential.
