Spruke on the Square

Brisbane’s iconic King George Square will be filled with the happy sounds of ukulele at SPRUKE on the Square, a FREE event for ukulele enthusiasts of all ages and the uke curious on June 11, 2022.

Join BUMS Brisbane Ukulele Musicians Society Inc for a day and night filled with fun activities and performances. Two stages will feature performances all day, showcasing ukulele groups and artists from all around south east Queensland.

Get involved and play by joining one of the themed mini jams or, if you are new to the ukulele, a beginners session. Strut your stuff at the open mic in Speakers Corner or buy a ukulele at the Music Market.

This big day of ukulele fun culminates with ‘Ukes Under The Stars’ a huge jam and concert to strum, sing and dance the night away. A giant LED screen will display the songs so everyone can play along together.

Need to know - SPRUKE on the Square is the major event for SPRUKE- Brisbane’s Ukulele Festival, Friday 3 to Sunday 12 June 2022. SPRUKE 2022 is ten day festival of ukulele fun with ticketed and free events around Brisbane.
