BCC Treasure Troves
Brisbane City Council's Treasure Troves are the place to shop and pick up a bargain on weekends, with one store located on the north side at Geebung and one on the south side at Acacia Ridge.
Everything for sale at the Treasure Trove has been donated at Brisbane City Councils resource recovery centres, so the items get a second chance at life rather than ending up in landfill.
For the month of October, the Treasure Troves will feature a new category of items every weekend. From homewares to bric-a-brac, toys, books and music, there’s something for everyone. It all kicks off from Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 October, where all things sports and leisure activity related will be available to buy.
If sports isn’t your thing, look out for the next sale weekends including furniture and textiles, everything kids (including toys, books and games) homewares and bric-a-brac and music and entertainment (think all things retro).
Good to know - Council’s Treasure Troves are operated by the Endeavour Foundation, who provide opportunities to people living with a disability. By choosing to buy second-hand means you save money and helping to support a great charity while keeping Brisbane clean and green.
