LE PIG CAFE HAS CLOSED AND BEEN REPLACED BY AIR ARCHER CAFE.
Le Pig is an unusually named, quirky café at Archerfield airport overlooking God’s Acre cemetery serving well-brewed coffee as well as good selection of hot and cold eats.
For plane spotters and history buffs, this is a top spot with shaded tables beneath big umbrellas and under leafy trees. Inside, the mismatched décor is inspired by France and flying, with a wall devoted to posters of Paris and planes.
Food wise, there’s something for everyone, from sausage rolls and meat pies to fresh sandwiches and Vietnamese fare such as rice paper rolls, noodle salads and banh mi (baguettes).
In addition, there’s a selection of sweet treats on hand like chocolate brownies, carrot cake and caramel slice, best accompanied with a cup of Queensland’s Somerset Artisan coffee.
Afterwards, take a stroll through God’s Acre and see where some of Brisbane’s pioneer families are buried.
