LE PETIT PARIS HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED.
Le Petit Paris bakery, creperie and café is an authentic slice of France tucked away down Bakery Lane in Fortitude Valley.
The tiny Euro-chic venue features elegant armchairs with furry cushions with a backdrop of the Eiffel Tower and rooftops of Paris inside and a smattering of patio tables and chairs outside.
Out back is the kitchen with baking oven where, just as in France, the qualified French baker starts work at 1am, crafting butter and almond croissants, pain au chocolat, Nutella and almond swirls and apple turnovers for the day, using imported French ingredients.
The result is the baked goodies here are the real deal and as good as it gets without hopping on a plane to Paris.
Also scrumptious are the traditional crepes, which come savoury (vegetarian, chicken, salmon, or ham, Swiss cheese and egg) or sweet (lemon and sugar, Nutella, honey or strawberry Nutella and whipped cream).
Le Petit Paris also serves delicious baguettes with vegetarian, tuna, chicken or ham fillings as well as macarons (note these are not baked onsite).
To accompany there’s well-brewed Italian Italcaffe and hot chocolate.
Nice to know – Look out for the fun creative croissant fillings like ratatouille, based on the chef’s whim.
Need to know - Le Petit Paris is open until midnight on Friday & Saturday nights (*correct at time of visiting in September 2017).
