Home: a Suburban Obsession

State Library of Queensland

Catch the last few weeks of Home: a suburban obsession – a fascinating, free exhibition exploring Queensland homes during the 1960s and 70s, showing at the State Library of Queensland until July 14, 2019.

Frank and Eunice Corley cruised the suburbs of South East Queensland in the 60s and 70s photographing houses to sell to the homeowners. Fifty years later, their legacy is an extensive collection of images that captures Queensland housing stock – from the architectural to the ramshackle.
