Grace Knight: The First 40 Years

Brisbane Powerhouse

Grace Knight, one of Australia's best loved enduring talents, returns to Brisbane Powerhouse for one night only on Saturday, August 3 in celebration of her recent self-titled solo album, Grace

In this special concert, Grace relives her musical journey through 40 years of hits and crowd favourites, selecting from her incredible repertoire of more than 200 recorded songs. Audiences will be treated to material from her solo career, as well as some delicate interpretations of Eurogliders’ biggest hits.

With ARIA awards and chart-topping songs in each of the past three decades, Grace's music is an eclectic mix of jazz standards, new songs, and re-workings of Eurogliders’ classics.

A creative powerhouse in the Australian music scene, her songs tell stories of love and betrayal in her distinctive playful, flirty, swinging manner and her spellbinding performances leave audiences feeling uplifted.

Her ninth solo album, Grace, follows the release of Fragile in 2016. As a solo artist, she has seamlessly transitioned from one of Australia’s greatest pop singers to an effortless jazz singer, and lit up the screen in ABC TV’s award winning mini-series Come in Spinner. The soundtrack to Come In Spinner went on to become the highest selling Australian jazz album of all time.

Throughout her jazz career, Knight has done countless live shows including performances for five Australian Prime Ministers, American President Bill Clinton, Princess Diana, and the Thai Royal Family.

She reached icon status throughout the eighties as lead singer of internationally successful band Eurogliders and captivated fans with her Manic Ballerina stage persona. Eurogliders performed to a TV audience of 65 million people on the MTV New Year’s special in 1984 and racked up multiple Platinum and Gold albums and singles.

Don't miss this beautiful celebration of songs, memories, and music when Grace performs in Brisbane in August.
