Furniture and Textiles
BCC Treasure Troves
There’s something for everyone at Brisbane City Council’s Treasure Troves, from homewares to bric-a-brac, toys, books and music, with one store located on the north side in Geebung and the other on the south side in Acacia Ridge.
This weekend, Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 October, both stores will feature all things furniture and textiles. So, pop in if you’re in need of a new couch, desk, curtains or outdoor furniture!
During buy nothing new month, Treasure Troves will feature a different category each weekend in October. Next weekend will feature everything kids - toys, books and games, and following weekends, homewares and bric-a-brac then music and entertainment (think all things retro).
Everything for sale at the Treasure Troves has been donated at Brisbane City Council’s resource recovery centres where good quality items get a second chance at life rather than ending up in landfill.
Council’s Treasure Troves are operated by the Endeavour Foundation, who provide opportunities to people living with a disability. Choosing to buy second-hand means you save money and help to support a great charity while keeping Brisbane clean and green.
