CORELLA AT WOOLLOONGABBA HAS CLOSED IN 2020.
Corella is one of Brisbane's most exquisite dining experiences, tucked away off the beaten track under The Drapery in Woolloongabba.
With owner and renowned chef Paul McGivern (ex-Manx & The Wolfe and co-owner of La Lune Wine Bar) at the helm, diners at Corella are in for a treat that is not only worth crossing town for but one that is top value (and mostly gluten-free!).

The moodily lit minimalist space, which diners cross a small 'bridge' to enter, has a semi-industrial vibe with stout concrete pillars and exposed ceiling, softened by the yellow glow of the lighting, modernist chairs, curved booth and padded banquette along the back wall. There's also a small bar for customers to enjoy a drink before settling in to dine.

The food menu at Corella is a true taste sensation, starting with delectable morsels like mussels, mallorquina and shallot on sourdough or kangaroo tartare and oyster emulsion on rye cracker.

Entrees include the likes of kingfish with daikon and green sauce; burrata (made locally at Mt Gravatt) with fig and roast grape chutney and the must try pumpkin raviolo, ricotta, pepita and tarragon.

For mains, choices include John Dory, witlof, saffron sauce and sea herbs; confit duck leg with lentil salad, walnut and pear; Wagyu, potato terrine, oyster mushroom and bitter greens or the highly recommended Warrigal green risotto, stracciatella, crouton and olive crumb.

Desserts are every bit as scrumptious - think apple tarte tartin, chestnut and whey ice-cream; chocolate marquise, raspberry and davidsons plum curd and the must try macadamia butter parfait, cereal and feijoa sorbet.

Nice to know - Corella has a 6 course tasting menu for $75pp and a prix fixe lunch menu for $39pp with choice from 2 entrees, 2 mains and 2 desserts.
Need to know - There is on-street parking nearby and Corella is also an easy Uber pick-up/drop off place.
