Carols & Brass
City Tabernacle Baptist Church
Carols & Brass will get you into the festive spirit with beloved Christmas carols, together with beautifully arranged brass selections, performed by the City Tabernacle Baptist Church Choir and Festival Brass Ensemble on Saturday, December 10 and Sunday, December 11, in the stunning setting of the City Tabernacle Baptist Church in Brisbane City.

Interspersed with chorales, solos and ensemble pieces from K. Lee Scott’s Christmas Cantata and Handel’s Messiah and Samson, as well as a profound narration of the Christmas story, the audience will join in the singing of several carols (arranged by Sir David Willcocks and John Rutter) and the triumphant Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s Messiah.

The performances will be structured similarly to King’s College Cambridge’s Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols and will conclude with the traditional choral setting of In Dulci Jubilo.
Carols & Brass is the ideal introduction to the Christmas season; nothing heralds the majesty of Christmas time like the brilliance and beauty of brass.
Free parking will be available at 51 Astor Terrace. Alternatively, the Brisbane City Council Wickham Terrace carpark is available for $5. There is no cost to attend the concert.
