Camerata - Four Seasons Reimagined
Concert Hall QPAC
Camerata - Queensland's Chamber Orchestra have re-imagined The Four Seasons for their first dazzling mainstage concert of the year at Concert Hall, QPAC on February 26.
The Four Seasons has captivated audiences and music-makers the world over, and for this not-to-be-missed concert, Camerata have interwoven the evocative masterpiece with works from some of the world’s contemporary composers.
The re-imagined concertos intertwine Vivaldi, Max Richter (from his hit post-minimalist album, Vivaldi Recomposed), Astor Piazzolla (with a Buenos Aires tango version of “Spring”), as well as a north American season written by American fiddler, Mark O’Conner.
To evoke the intensity of Winter will be the sublime piece, “Tibetan Winter”, by Roxanna Panufnik, as well as “First Snow”, from Finnish composer, Jaakko Kuusisto.
Four Seasons Reimagined will uplift, delight, and celebrate the talent of Camerata’s Artistic Associates in solo roles.
