Ben Folds: The Symphonic Tour

Ben Folds: The Symphonic Tour will see singer-songwriter Ben Folds performing his best known works live with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra on March 11 and 12 at QPAC's Concert Hall.

Renowned for his musical versatility, Ben has created an enormous body of music including pop albums with Ben Folds Five, multiple solo albums, numerous collaborations, and critically-acclaimed classical works. 

His last album, a blend of pop songs that featured his Concerto for Piano and Orchestra, reached Number 1 in the US on both the Billboard classical and classical crossover charts. 

According to Ben, he grew up playing in orchestras, so being on stage with one feels natural to him. "In these concerts, the orchestra is my band. When I perform with an orchestra, I tell audiences that I’m expressing myself through a different form than what they have come to expect in a rock show, a form that happens to be done by people who are among the best musicians on the planet."
