Baby Boomer, the highly acclaimed Theatreroo production, is back by popular demand, returning to The Basement in Bowen Hills (below Twelfth Night Theatre) for 5 performances only from August 20, 2022.

This powerful little musical, directed by iconic Australian director Denny Lawrence (The Bill, A Country Practice) traces the journey of four young Brisbanites, from their teen years through their twenties, as they travel the world and discover love, explore sex, and find out who they really are.

Their commitment to peace and justice in the world sees the women join the growing feminist movement, and sees them all protest against the war in Vietnam, which will ultimately claim the life of one of the quartet.

Producer Clarry Evans says “We were overwhelmed by the success of Baby Boomer last season and found a rich cast to enable us to bring it back for a limited five performance season in August and September."

Although set in the 1950s and 1960s, Baby Boomer is a very modern story, demonstrating how the same issues recur throughout history. It is a show for all ages - and for all lovers of great music!
