Alison Roman: Sweet Enough

Join new-gen foodie sensation, Alison Roman, on a delicious journey as she takes you on a tour of her latest cookbook Sweet Enough, at Brisbane Powerhouse on Sunday, May 7, 2023.

Always a cook, often a writer, and never a sifter of flour, the New York Times cooking columnist took the world (and internet) by storm with her trademark casualness and refreshing approach to cooking without fuss.

In true Roman style, her highly anticipated first baking book is filled with dessert recipes geared toward those without fancy equipment or specialty ingredients.

Before Alison's viral recipes, bestselling cookbooks (Nothing Fancy and Dining In) and her very own CNN cooking show, she worked as a restaurant pastry chef studying flavour, technique, and precision. In Sweet Enough, Alison takes her wealth of experience in learning how to make desserts the hard way and translates it into recipes that are intentionally simple, flexible and delicious.

Whether you're a seasoned home cook or a curious foodie, join Alison in conversation with Belinda Seeney for a charming afternoon of sweet tips, culinary confessions and stories from the dinner table.
