A Tribute Of Sorts
Bille Brown Studio
A Tribute of Sorts is QTC’s darkly funny home-grown play of the rare flabbergastingly damaged and relentlessly hilarious variety.
Wes Anderson meets Tim Burton in this weird and warped play about two oddball teenage cousins who go by the name of Juniper and Ivan Plank and who are in the process of putting together a glitzy eisteddford.
Along the way it turns into ‘a tribute of sorts’ as it chronicles the series of highly unfortunate events that led to the demise of 26 infants and what ensues is a morbidly funny journey - in alphabetical order - of the lives of these doomed infants.
In turn the show is a tribute of sorts both to the devilish humour of both rising star Benjamin Schostakowski and to the morbidly dark art of theatre itself.
