That's Us! Modern Maori Quartet
Brisbane Powerhouse
Swoon to the beautiful harmonies created by crooners, the Modern Maori Quartet, when their show, That’s Us!, hits Brisbane Powerhouse on Saturday, 10 June.
The group are a huge hit in their homeland of Aotearoa (New Zealand) where they’ve toured extensively since they formed in 2012. They also made an impact in overseas events such as the Salisbury International Arts Festival, and in London, Cardiff, Singapore, Hawaii and Uzbekistan – the last one where they won ‘Most Emotional and Daring Performance’ at the Sharq Tolanaleri World Music Festival.
With an accolade like that to their credit, there’s no doubting the Modern Maori Quartet – who are described as a fresh take on classic Maori show bands – will give audiences some spine-tingling harmonies, banter, charm and plenty of heart. One critic said they were “handsome, hilarious and harmonious” as well as “entertainment at its best”.

This is a must-see part of the Queensland Cabaret Festival and the first major series of public performances for MMQ in Australia after they performed at Hobart’s Festival of Voices in 2016. As well as their Brisbane Powerhouse gig, they’ll be performing at Yeppoon Town Hall, Central Queensland, on Monday, 12 June, at 7.30pm. BUY TICKETS HERE
