A Sanctuary Cove
Christmas
Sanctuary Cove has this year’s festive season all wrapped up with A Sanctuary Cove Christmas, a magical program of Christmas events and free entertainment for all ages from Monday, December 11 to Friday, December 15.
The Marine Village will come to colourful life with entertainment, candlelit dinners, boutique shopping, carols and loads of free activities for the kids. Highlights of the program include:
Dec 11 -15 - Christmas Carnival
Every day from 10am to 2pm, families can get into the holiday spirit as The Marine Village transforms into a festive-inspired wonderland, bursting with free family-fun for all ages. Roving entertainers will enchant shoppers with colourful street performances throughout the day, while kids can delight in stocking-loads of activities from train rides throughout the precinct to pony rides at the animal farm, as well as free face painting and jumping castle jaunts. Kids can also learn a circus performer’s tricks of the trade at the Circus Workshop, while a visit to Santa’s Grotto between 11am to 1pm will see families and their furry friends meet Santa Claus himself and capture a special festive memory.
Dec 13 - Dinner by Candlelight
From 6pm onwards, The Marine Village will dim its lights and glow with enchanting ambience, as selected restaurants light their candles for Sanctuary Cove’s annual Dinner by Candlelight. Diners can enjoy a celebratory spread as they indulge in decadent Christmas-inspired feasts at popular restaurants, including Ioesco, Black Angus and Thai House. Bookings are essential.
Dec 14 - Carols on the Green & Village Night Markets
Bring the whole the family along to this free evening of Christmas carols led by a chorus of talented voices. Kicking off at 5.30pm, the evening will include joyous performances by popular twelve-piece Swing Force Big Band, the Paradise Carollers, and Frosty the Snowman with his rendition of classic Christmas hits. Intermission will make way for a Buggy Parade by the Rotary Club of Hope Island and an enchanting musical performance by Santa and his red-nosed friend Rudolph.
From 6pm, there will also be the chance for some Christmas shopping at the Village Night Markets along the boardwalk, where there will be a selection of pop-up market stalls full of great gift ideas from The Marine Village’s boutique retailers.
Nice to know - Santa photos daily from 11am-1pm; pets are welcome from 12pm.
