Rev up your engines for the 2016 Queensland Hot Rod Show, to be held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, Southbank, on Saturday, 21st and Sunday, 22nd May. Last year’s show was the first time it was held in the huge hall of the centre, with an eye-popping array of top street rods, street machines, custom designs and other vehicles on show.
It’s the 46th Queensland Hot Rod Show this year and as size does matter, the organisers are promising it’s going to be 50% bigger than last year’s. This means more cars, more trade stands, and more entertainment for the hot rod enthusiast about town.
If you’re a Harley Davidson fan, then you need to know that just by attending this year’s show, you’ll have a chance to win yourself your very own Harley Street 500. Worth the admission price alone! Then there are the guys from Airbrush Alley making a return visit to show their amazing skills, while the kids will be happily occupied with jumping castle, face painting, ball games and a colouring competition.
Queensland Hot Rod Promotions will donate 100% of all proceeds of the charity auction to the worthy cause, Youngcare, which helps young Australians with high-care needs. The auction is on Saturday, 21 May, at 6pm and there will also be raffle tickets on sale so you can help Youngcare.
Check out the website for details about becoming involved in the Hot Rod Show, whether it’s to set up a trade stand or enter your vehicle to be eligible to win the Milty Award – a $3,000 prize from Pat’s Pro Restos & Refinishing for the most outstanding vehicle on show.
Saturday 21st (9am - 7pm) and Sunday 22nd May (9am - 5pm)
Tickets: Adults $22; Children under 14 FREE
