Planetarium 40th Anniversary

Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium is turning 40 and Brisbane is invited to come along and join in the celebrations.
To mark the occasion there's a a jam-packed weekend of events, including a free public lecture on Astrovisualisation by Dr Carter Emmart from the American Museum of Natural History.
In a special 'Saturday Night Live' session, join with Planetarium Curator Mark Rigby and Dr Carter Emmart for a flight through the Cosmos.
There's also the opportunity to view Skylore, the fascinating new Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander astronomy exhibition, as well as a historical photographic display of the Planetarium's early days.
Visitors can enjoy 40% off Cosmic Skydome show tickets across the weekend, with a variety of shows available including new shows The Little Star That Could and Passport to the Universe. View the weekend show schedule HERE.
Nice to know - Visitors are invited to share their favourite memories of the Planetarium. The best submissions will be included in a time-capsule that will be sealed until 2037. Entries for the competition are open until Monday 14 May.
