Joel Creasey is bringing his charmingly controversial new show, Basic AF, to Brisbane on Wednesday, February 2 and Thursday, February 3.

Note that the shows have been rescheduled from August 20 & October 22.

Performing at the Fortitude Music Hall, Joel will be treating audiences to his signature sass with his most outrageous show yet.

"Each year I write a blurb trying to entice you along to my show with some sexy "hook". But I've gotta be honest, after the dumpster fire of the past 2 years I just want to laugh. My brilliant comedy colleagues write these intellectual, political masterpieces. This ain't it. Come along, let's have a laugh and then I'm going home to eat a box of Cheezels and watch Bridgerton. I'm Basic AF and I'm fine with that.”

A self-described shameless fame whore, Joel has become a television staple on commercial networks and streaming platforms with stand-up specials on Netflix and Amazon Prime. He recently reprised his role on Neighbours to cause more chaos in Ramsay St. For the past five years, Joel has co-hosted the SBS television broadcast of the global song contest competition Eurovision and the glittering explosion that is the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras parade.

But the real Joel shines live on stage. Joel is in his element unfiltered, unscripted and unencumbered by the dump button regaling you with tales from his life in and away from the spotlight. In the world of stand up, Joel has had sell out tours of Australia, the UK, Asia and the USA. With his first solo tour at the age of 19 earning him a Best Newcomer nomination at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival – Joel has gone on to present ten acclaimed, sell out tours. Joel was fortunate enough to be hand-picked by the legendary Joan Rivers as her US support act with Joan going on to say “He is a f*cking star!”
