Comme Des Garcons Pocket
Goma
Comme des Garcons desirable label pop-up is a unique chance to purchase some fashion wear and accessories from one of the featured designers in GOMA's Future Beauty: 30 Years of Japanese Fashion exhibition.
Located outside the entrance of the exhibition and annexed to the Future Beauty Pop-Up Shop this pocket-sized pod of fashion merchandise constitutes Queensland’s very first retail space for the iconic Tokyo-based label, whose name means ‘Like Boys’.
Since it was founded in 1973 by designer Rei Kawakubo, Comme des Garcons, whose flagship store opened in Tokyo’s high fashion district Aoyama, has been taking the fashion world by storm, with concept stores around Japan and traditional stores opening in London, Paris, Hong Kong, Beijing, Bangkok, Seoul, Singapore, Manila and Seoul.
Here at GOMA, fans can take their pick of quirky cool tees from its famous Play Line, as well as wallets and fragrances.
