Colour Me Brisbane
G20 Cultural Celebrations
Brisbane lights up in a spectacular burst of colour as part of the G20 Cultural Celebrations, with its iconic buildings and swathed in dazzling contemporary art, Queensland heritage and world flags.
For Colour Me Brisbane, Australia’s leading projection artists have come together to create a nightly series of dazzling Son and Lumiere (sound and light shows) throughout Brisbane’s premier downtown districts, the likes of which have never been seen before.
The ultimate viewing experiences are to be had from a distance at South Bank, where the line-up of technicolour buildings can be enjoyed from the Clem Jones Promenade, or up close, with a wander through the streets of Brisbane’s central CBD. Along the way are a host of pop-up live music and street performances and visual surprises to add to enhance the experience.
And for those who want be part of it and test out their own creativity, look out for one of the special
Paint Your City touchscreen kiosks, which will be dotted around the South Bank Cultural Forecourt and Brisbane’s Riverside Centre.
Here you can select from a virtual palette of rainbow colours and transform the buildings before you as you watch.
*It is highly recommended that viewers of the nightly light spectacular bring along the camera and tag their pics with #colourmebrisbane and #g20cultural to share online.
