Afro Frequency Tour

BEMAC LIVE: Afro Frequency Tour sees prolific Senegalese performer Lamine Sonko & The African Intelligence together with iconic Sudanese singer Ajak Kwai hit the stage at Queensland Multicultural Centre, Kangaroo Point, on Feb 17.

Audience members will be treated to a fiery mix of uplifting and soulful sounds delivered with sweet harmonies, vibrant melodies, and the unmistakable essence of Africa.

BEMAC Director Evan Alexander said the show, which features two of Australia’s most celebrated neo-traditional African artists, launches BEMAC’s new live music series BEMAC LIVE.

“The Afro Frequency Tour will explore powerful messages of transcending borders and social equality, while presenting music from Lamine Sonko & The African intelligence's new album Afro Empire (nominated for The Age Music Vic Awards) and Ajak Kwai's critically acclaimed new album Of Cows, Women and War,” said Mr Alexander.

"This is a rare opportunity to see two of Australia's most celebrated African artists on a single stage."
