The 2017 Aviation Expo is being held at Brisbane Airport, where it is set to provide the ultimate aviation experience to attendees.
Taking place in Aviation Australia's world-class training facilities, the expo will cover four areas of aviation interest: careers, lifestyle, community and experiences.
The Aircraft Experience Zone is a major attraction for all; Aviation Australia along with the Australian Defence Force (ADF) will showcase over 30 military and commercial static aircraft.
Featured commercial aircraft will include Aeroprakt A32 Vixxen Light Sport Aircraft 23-8770, T28 Trojan, Boeing 737 and many more, with ADF aircraft still to be confirmed.
Patrons will be able to get up close to the ADF aircraft, and have the opportunity to speak to pilots and crew as well as members from the Navy, Army and Air Force, and hear first-hand how a career in the ADF is like no other.
Defence Force Recruiting will also feature a range of attractions and exhibits including simulators, the Royal Australian Air Force Foster Puppy Program and career seminars.
Careers in aviation are another major attraction of the event, with several registered training organisations and education providers exhibiting and conducting seminars. Exhibitors include Aviation Australia, University of Southern Queensland, Civil Aviation Safety Authority, Basair and many more.
Aviation Australia will also be conducting safety evacuation demonstrations and tours of their wide body training facility, showcasing their world-class capability in training prospective flight attendants.
LifeFlight will once again conduct demonstrations of Helicopter Underwater Escape Training and Survival Systems, as well as operating their Thales Reality H AW139 Level D helicopter simulator on the day.
Meantime a number of aviation lifestyle focused exhibitors will be located within one of the operational hangars, including airlines such as pacific-based Nairu Airlines.
Aviation related community exhibitors will also be in attendance on the day, including Aerospace Gateway Schools Project, QGAir, Australian Youth Aerospace Association and more.
For eats and drinks, the Australian Air Force Cadets 212 (City of Redcliffe) Squadron and LifeFlight will be hosting BBQs on site, while Samson’s Apron, the onsite café will also be in operation, as well as several coffee vendors. There’ll also be a selection of popular food trucks such as Rolls Pho Mi, Rolling Stone and Bruce the Food Truck peddling their fare onsite.
